LAKESIDE - A one-year-old child fell from a second-story window Wednesday in Lakeside.
Lakeside Fire Department crews were called to a Navy housing complex on Mine Shaft Drive just before 12:30 p.m., on reports that a one-year-old girl had fallen out of a second-story window. A Sheriff's Deputy was already on scene helping the child when crews arrived.
The girl was transported to Children's Hospital with a head injury. No word was given on the extent of the child's injury.
Lakeside Fire believes the girl fell after pushing out a window screen. The child's mother was home when the accident happened.
