Chargers to host Cards, 49ers in preseason

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers will play home preseason games against the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers and play road preseason games against the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings, the NFL announced Thursday.
  
The Chargers will open preseason play at Tennessee during Week 1 of preseason play, Aug. 11-15, then play host to the Arizona Cardinals at Qualcomm Stadium during Week 2, Aug. 18-22.
  
The Chargers will face the Minnesota Vikings Aug. 28 in the first NFL game at U.S. Bank Stadium. The game will be televised by Fox.
  
The Chargers will conclude preseason play Sept. 1 or Sept. 2 by playing host to the San Francisco 49ers at Qualcomm Stadium.
  
The dates for the first, second and fourth preseason games will be announced later.
  
The regular-season schedule is customarily announced in late April.
