SAN DIEGO -- A car ended up on its roof after slamming into a parked SUV and guardrail early Tuesday morning in Point Loma.
The crash occurred in the 3100 block of Nimitz Blvd. San Diego police said the car lost control, hit a phone box, struck a parked SUV and bent a guardrail, leaving scattered chunks of concrete.
The driver was transported to a nearby hospital. Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol influenced the crash.
