VISTA -- Three young men were behind bars Thursday on suspicion of stealing more than $100,000 worth of valuables during a spree of residential burglaries in Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach last month.

Joe Estrada, 18, and 20-year-old Joshua Stephen Gomez were arrested in Encinitas on Wednesday, according to sheriff's officials. Jonathan Alejandro Valdez-Flores, 18, was taken into custody in the case last week. They are being held in county jail in Vista.

The three youths allegedly participated in four home-invasion thefts from Feb. 17-23. All but one of the crimes were interrupted when residents returned home, Sgt. Rich Eaton said.

A search of Estrada's San Diego home turned up jewelry believed to have been stolen during the burglary series, the sergeant said.

Estrada and Gomez are scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow afternoon. Valdez-Flores is due to make his next court appearance Monday.
