Chickpea, a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix, is looking for a loving family to call her own. She was found as a stray, so her history is a bit of a mystery but her future is looking very bright! Chickpea may be a bit shy, but she is the sweetest little lady once she gets to know you. She has a heart murmur so we won’t be running any marathons, but she can live a happy, healthy life snuggled up on your couch.

Chickpea is available for adoption at the San Diego Humane Society’s Escondido Campus, 3450 E. Valley Parkway.
