SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — It's no secret that San Diego County's 70 miles of coastline gives beachgoers a little bit of everything and a whole lot of scenic views.

The folks at Trip Advisor seem to agree, ranking two of our county's beaches among the website's 25 best beaches in the United States.

La Jolla Cove and Coronado Beach ranked 14th and 20th, respectively, among the list.

The website recommends travelers visit La Jolla Cove if they're looking for anything from swimming to diving to snorkeling. The cove's calm waters and ecologically-protected cove make it a prime spot for those wanted to take the dive. Of course, it's the cove's wildlife of seals and birds that draws visitors to the area.

Over in Coronado Beach, surfing is the most recommended activity. But routine visitors can attest to the beach's scenic views next to the Hotel del Coronado and of the tip of Point Loma and Cabrillo Monument in the distance. If you're there at the right time, you can also catch military training or aircraft flying over to and from nearby NAS North Island.

Several of Hawaii's beaches lead the list of beach recommendations for travelers. Trip Advisor based its results on reviews, ratings, and saves that travelers shared of their favorite beaches.
