OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - San Diego Animal Advocates is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for a vicious attack on two huskies in Oceanside.

SDAA is offering $5,000 for help capturing whoever tortured Estrella and Cocayo, poisoning them and pouring acid over their faces and bodies, according to the dogs' owners.

The family said veterinarian bills from December revealed the dogs had been poisoned with THC. In February, they came home to find Estrella and Cocayo crying, covered in acid burns.

Then on April 28, the family came home to find one of the dog's eyes gouged and the other had acid burns inside and outside its body. Estrella and Cocayo survived the horrific incident, but they are both severely injured.

Estella, who suffered the eye injury, required her eye to be surgically removed.

The family contacted the police and moved out that day.

Oceanside police are asking anyone with information to call Lt. Valerie Saadat at  760-435-4580 or leave a message anonymously for the department at 760-435-4730.

There is also a GoFundMe page to help pay for the dogs’ mounting medical bills.
