MIRA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) - A woman who was hit by a vehicle while crossing a Mira Mesa street Friday morning has died.
San Diego Police said a 76-year-old woman was crossing the street in the 10800 block of Westonhill Drive just after 9 a.m. Friday, when she was hit by a 74-year-old man driving southbound on the road.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital with a broken jaw, broken pelvis, and serious head injury. She later died at the hospital, police said.
The driver remained at the scene.
Police have not released the identity of the victim or driver.
The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
