VISTA (KGTV) -- A woman was found dead in a Vista home on Friday and police are investigating it as a suspicious death.
The body was discovered around 11:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of La Rueda Drive.
The circumstances of the woman's death are unclear at this time but investigators are canvassing the area. A suspicious death was ruled because of a call about a possible assault with a deadly weapon.
Neighbors said they had heard some arguing from the home just this week.
"I did not hear anything last night but I did hear something two nights ago," said neighbor Laramie Hardy. "Just a bunch of arguing and yelling. Not for very long."
Hardy recalled there had been police activity there earlier this month.
"A couple of weeks ago, cops came for a warrant and were out on the street telling a guy named Nathan to come out with his hands up. From that day, it's been pretty scary," she said.
Investigators are waiting on a search warrant to enter the home.
The woman has not been identified, but appeared to have been in her late 40s, police said.
