SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two climbers, one of whom graduated from UCSD, died Saturday morning after falling 1,000 feet at Yosemite National Park.
The men, identified as Jason Wells, 46, and Tim Klein, were on the Freeblast Route of El Capitan when they fell, according to CNN.
Wells and Klien fell around 8:15 a.m. According to climbing.com, Wells graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 1995 before moving to Boulder, Colorado.

Klein reportedly lived in Palmdale, California. The incident comes a month after a hiker fell to his death while ascending Half Dome trail.
