(KGTV) - The night sky will be lit over Travis Air Force Base in California Wednesday, but don't expect any loud booms or explosions.

Instead, the base will utilize Intel drones to put on a choreographed display to honor veterans, the military, and American history on July 4.

Five-hundred "shooting star" drones will be used in the holiday twist, forming the American flag, firework bursts, and more.

Organizers say the unique show will allow families who may be sensitive to loud sounds or explosions to enjoy the July 4 celebration.
