BAY PARK, Calif. (KGTV) - A champion paddleboarder is making an appeal to find two "one-of-a-kind" surfboards, stolen from off his SUV while he and his wife were grabbing dinner.
Last Saturday, Danny Ching made the trip from Hermosa Beach to San Diego to compete in a race.
Afterwards, he and his wife headed to the Coronado Brewing tasting room in Bay Park for a friend's birthday. They parked on the street near the restaurant.
Less than two hours later, Ching came out and saw the bag he had tied to the top of his SUV was gone.
Inside the bag: Two shortboards with a lot of sentimental value. Both were gifts from friends.
