LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) - A local gym goer is on a mission after a costly smash-and-grab surprise.
We found Sharon Frank at UTC Westfield passing out flyers warning people.
Just before 6 in the morning on a recent Wednesday, Frank and a friend parked here and headed to 24 Hour Fitness.
Frank says she mistakenly left her purse tucked next to her front seat. When she got back an hour later, her driver side window was shattered and her purse gone.
Before she could cancel her cards, the thief charged some $700 at local stores, including Starbucks and Home Depot.
Frank created and flyer and has spent several mornings warning people not to leave valuables in their car.
