A local woman lost her house, job and dignity because a drug test resulted in a false positive for methamphetamine.
The failed drug test put her behind bars for six months -- all because she said the test mistook an ingredient used in the cheese-making process for meth.
Team 10 learned that she is not the only one that this has happened to, as the company that supplies a large part of the nation with field kits for drug testing has been sued before.
The woman's lawyer told Team 10, "Nobody bothered to test the product; actually test it in a laboratory until six months later. When the government did that, they realized they made a big mistake and they released her."
In the video player above, watch as Team 10 uncovers more cases across the country of field kits producing false readings.
