OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - An apparent argument left one man with life-threatening injuries and a woman in jail, according to police.

Oceanside Police officers responded to the call of a stabbing at the Sprinter Station near 700 Crouch Street at about 2 p.m. Monday. Police arrived to find a 54-year-old man with at least one stab wound.

He was taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses helped OPD locate the suspect, only identified as an adult female, and she was detained.

The motive is still unknown, but police believe an argument started between the man and woman before the stabbing. It's unclear if the two knew each other.

OPD is currently investigating the incident.
