VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) - A man fatally assaulted in a Valley Center home has been identified.
San Diego County Sheriff's identified the homicide victim as 30-year-old Christopher Lyons. Other details regarding the County Medical Examiner's autopsy have been sealed pending the investigation.

The Sheriff's Department said around 5 a.m. Thursday, a man broke into a home in the 15400 block of Villa Sierra Lane. It's not clear what led to the incident, but SDSO Lt. Kenneth Nelson confirmed Lyons suffered from trauma to [his] upper body," while others were inside the home.
Lyons was declared dead at the scene.
A description of the attack was not immediately available, but deputies said they believe he may be an acquaintance of those who lived in the home. No further update on contact with that individual was given.
