UPDATE (7:30 p.m.): Chance Arnold Bowman has been arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail


SAN DIEGO - The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in locating a fugitive wanted for identity theft and burglary.

Sheriff's deputies said Chance Arnold Bowman, 37, has a $100,000 bail felony arrest warrant for identity theft and burglary, and previous convictions for identity theft, auto theft, possession of controlled substances, and mutliple parole violations.

Bowman is described as a white male, 6-foot-2-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving an older model silver Honda Civic with a red hood and red rear bumper. He is known to frequent the East County area of San Diego.

Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading the the arrest of Bowman.
