LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is investigating a threat of violence that was scrawled on the bathroom wall at a Lakeside middle school.
On Tuesday, at around 6:48 p.m., officials at Tierra Del Sol Middle School posted about the threat on Facebook, saying staff members "discovered inappropriate drawings, racial slurs and a threat written in a student bathroom."
In the post, the school went on to say that the student suspected of the threats was immediately apprehended and the sheriff's department deemed the threat non-credible.
Sheriff's officials conducted an investigation and reported that there was no evidence to suggest the threat has any validity.
Out of an abundance of caution, additional law enforcement officers were present on and around the campus on Wednesday.
Sheriff’s officials told 10News on Wednesday that two students were identified as suspects in the incident. Officials said they were working with the school and the students’ parents regarding the situation.
The students’ names and ages were not released.
