SAN MARCOS -- A high school student was arrested Monday after making threats against students on social media.
A 15-year-old sophomore was arrested for posting a non-specific threat against his fellow students at San Marcos High School on Instagram, San Diego Sheriff's Lt. Dave Schaller said.
A school resource officer investigated reports of the threats by meeting with the boy's parents and searching his bedroom where no weapons were found.
Due to the nature of the threats, the officer arrested the teenager.
