SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Nearly 30 people were arrested Saturday during three warrant sweeps in San Diego County.
San Diego County Sheriff's said 29 people were arrested in the areas of Lemon Grove, La Mesa, and Rancho San Diego between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturday. A total of 35 warrants were cleared, as well.
The focus of the sweeps was to apprehend suspects with outstanding warrants, according to SDSO Sergeant James Golembiewski.
"Over the past several months the San Diego Sheriff's Department has increased its efforts in the apprehension of wanted subjects, and will continue to do so," Sgt. Golembiewski said in the release.
Anyone with an outstanding warrant is encouraged to turn themselves in Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at any Sheriff's Court facility.
