SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies are asking the public for help locating a missing, at-risk man.

Edgar Cruz, 69, was reported missing by his family on April 17. Cruz has Alzheimer's disease and other medical conditions. He does not have his medications with him, the Sheriff's Department said.

Cruz is known to frequent beaches in Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. He is also known to visit libraries in Encinitas, Carlsbad, and San Marcos as well, according to his family.

Cruz was last seen wearing a green shirt, black pants, and a green fishing-style hat. He's described as a Hispanic man, 5-foot-9-inches tall, 200 pounds, and with brown eyes and gray hair.

Anyone who has seen Cruz or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Vista Sheriff's Station Detective Brendan Cook at 760-940-4308 or the Sheriff's Department at 858-565-5200.
