SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The father of a two-month-old infant snatched the baby from his mother's arms and held officers at bay in Balboa Park Thursday, San Diego Police said.
The incident started at Upas St. and Richmond St. when the baby's father took the boy and shoved the woman, police said.
A witness saw what happened and followed the man through Balboa Park while relaying his position to officers on the phone.

The man stopped half a mile away at Upas and 7th Ave., still holding the baby and a knife.
Police surrounded the man, who surrendered peacefully.
