SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Wednesday night San Diego Gas & Electric announced that they would no longer activate the Reduce Your Use Rewards program on Thursday.
"With lower temperatures expected and reduced energy forecasts, it was determined that the Reduce Your Use program does not need to be called," a spokesperson with SDG&E said. "The ISO's Flex Alert will also officially expire at 9 p.m. (on Wednesday night)."
The spokesperson went on to thank customers who have helped save energy.
"While it can’t be confirmed, a lower trending energy forecast for (Thursday) can possibly be attributed to the conservation efforts put forth by San Diegans," the spokesperson said.
