SERRA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) - Paige Edwards, who is 5 months pregnant, got a big surprise while doing her laundry: a young rattlesnake.
On Tuesday afternoon, she was doing laundry in her converted garage in Serra Mesa when she bent over to grab one of the towels off a stack on the floor. That's when she saw the snake with the rattle hanging out under one of the towels.
She "flipped out" because she has a toddler and pets walking around the home, but she quickly went into action.
10News' Michael Chen spoke with the mother and a local expert on why residents may be seeing the rattlers earlier this year.
