SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for the suspect of a pursuit after they abandoned their vehicle in Mission Bay.

Police started pursuing the suspect over a reported stolen vehicle in Mission Valley Friday afternoon. At one point the driver of the Honda sedan sped through a red light and a trolley crossing barrier, smashing the guard and the car's windshield in the process.

SDPD officers lost the vehicle on Friars Rd. but later found it abandoned on Mission Bay Dr., just south of a Hilton hotel.
