SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after two victims were assaulted in a dorm room at Cal State San Marcos.
According to an alert posted on Twitter, at 3:15 on Saturday a student and visiting friend were victims of the assault and battery.

Police say an unknown suspect knocked on the door, then forced his way into the room when the door was opened.
The suspect assaulted one victim and bit the other, according to police. The victims were able to fight off the suspect who fled the scene.
The man described as an 18-year-old white male with short brown hair. The suspect was wearing a turquoise shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
