HILLCREST, Calif. (KGTV) - Police are searching for a missing 11-year-old who disappeared from the Hillcrest area Wednesday.
Aniyah Downing was last seen at Roosevelt Middle School at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, while on her way to an after-school program. She never showed up.
Police described the young girl as black, 4-foot 9-inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, and with large afro hair with a red ribbon.

Police have located a backpack she was described as carrying nearby in the 1200 block of University Ave.
Downing was last seen wearing a maroon hoodie, khaki pants, and black Nike shoes.
