SAN YSIDRO (KGTV) - One person is dead after being struck by a trolley in San Ysidro.
San Diego Police are currently on scene investigating the collision that occurred just before 6:30 a.m. at Beyer Boulevard at Dairy Mart Road. Police said a pedestrian was hit by a westbound MTS trolley.
The victim was not immediately identified. Police did tell 10News' Mimi Elkalla the victim was a male, but didn't have identification on him.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.

Police say the man was killed by the trolley just around 6:20 this morning.

Two tracks were open following the incident and trolleys were still moving in the area.
The Metropolitan Transit System alerted commuters to be aware of 15- to 20-minute delays on the UC San Diego Blue Line, due to police activity in the vicinity of Iris Avenue station.
