Woman airlifted from Torrey Pines after being hit by cliff debris

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Fire-Rescue and lifeguards crews were called out to Torrey Pines to rescue an injured woman on the beach.

Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 1 p.m. after a woman walking on the beach was hit by debris when part of the cliff gave way, San Diego Fire-Rescue said.

Crews airlifted the woman, believed to be in her 30s, to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

The severity her injuries is unknown at this time. Her name has not been released.
