SANTEE - A middle-aged man was hit and killed by an MTS Trolley Friday night.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department (SDSO) said the person was struck at Mission Gorge Road and Cuyamaca Street just before 7 p.m. 10News Reporter Emily Thode was on scene, as authorities blocked off the area.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, SDSO Sgt. Joe Passalacqua said. No passengers on the trolley at the time of the collision were injured.

Shortly before 11 p.m. investigators cleared the scene and reopened Cuyamaca Street.
The SDSO Traffic Accident Reconstructionist team is working to find out what caused the accident.
SDSO said the victim's identity may be made available pending the results of the county medical examiner's investigation.
