San Diego police are investigating a traffic accident that left a pedestrian dead in Rancho Penasquitos Thursday evening.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard and Calle De La Rosas.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene.
Officers will be on scene investigating for the next couple of hours.
