The all-star team from the Chula Vista-based Park View Little League lost to its counterpart from the Goodlettsville Baseball Little League of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Tuesday night in an elimination game at the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
With the 4-2 loss, Park View was officially eliminated from title contention and heads to the consolation bracket.

Goodlettsville, the Southeast Region champion, took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 5th inning, but Park View answered with a 2-run home run to level the score.
In the bottom of the sixth, with the game still tied, Park View's chance to win in walk-off fashion was snuffed out after Goodlettsville's catcher made a crucial tag at home plate to end the inning.
Replays show the Park View runner's foot mere inches away from touching the plate when the tag was made.
Goodlettsville proceeded to tack on two runs in the top of the 7th inning to go up 4-2, but with the winning run at the plate in the bottom half of the inning, Park View was unable to score as Goodlettsville turned a double play to end the game.
