CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - The family of Pablo Rosavelez has identified him as the man killed in a hit-and-run accident on Monday afternoon in Chula Vista.

Rosavelez, 30, was riding his motorcycle on the 2400 block of Main St. around 2:15 p.m. when he was hit by an SUV, according to Chula Vista Police. He died at the scene.

The SUV was exiting a storage facility onto Main St. and drove away after the crash.

Rosavelez's brother, Danny Rosavelez, said he was the first family member to be contacted.

"I didn't believe it at first," he said. "I was in shock."

He said his brother had just gotten married earlier this year and was expecting a son.

"He's a very funny person," said his sister, Mary. "He had a good sense of humor. He loved his family very much."

The Chula Vista Police Traffic Division was still investigating the fatal crash. They have not released any information on the driver or vehicle, other than it was an SUV.
