SANTA MONICA, Calif. - A Navy SEAL was in custody Wednesday in connection with the killing of another man in Santa Monica over the weekend.

Theo Andrew Krah, 28, was booked Monday about 4:10 p.m. and was being held in lieu of $2 million bail, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's online inmate records.

He was arrested in San Diego, according to the Los Angeles Times, which identified Krah as a decorated Navy officer assigned to a special warfare unit.

Police broke up a fight between Krah and the victim, whose name has not been released, on the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday and said no one was injured or arrested. But about an hour later, the man was found suffering from head trauma and stab wounds a half-mile away in the 1300 block of Fifth Street, Santa Monica police Lt. Saul Rodriguez said.

The man, who was in his 50s, died at a hospital on Sunday, according to Los Angeles County coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
