The nation’s biggest parent-teacher conference is underway in San Diego.
Thousands of families, teachers and education advocates are coming together to tackle issues facing California Schools.
According to the California State PTA, speakers will discuss everything from health to safety over the next few days.
The event taking place in San Diego is meant to be a one-stop shop for parents and administrators.
“The key is to try and remember that we’re all family and thinking that way we can help every child to get ahead,” said parent and PTA member Daphne Laplante.
The conference runs through Saturday at the Town and County Resort in Mission Valley.
Organizers say Friday is their free day, and they’ll be featuring different types of art exhibits.
