SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A missing at-risk man from Vista was found Thursday.
San Diego County Sheriff's said Doug Nicholson, 75, was located Thursday in Washington state after he walked away from his home in Vista on April 11,. Nicholson has Alzheimer's disease and did not take his medications with him when he left.
Deputies said Nicholson, who had recently moved to Vista from Washington state, was found unharmed, according to SDCO Sergeant Matthew Mays. Investigators are looking into how Nicholson made it to Washington. They said the investigation is not criminal in nature.
Nicholson will be reunited with his family in Vista as soon as possible.
