(KGTV) - A minor earthquake shook the Riverside County area early Friday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the tremor rocked the city of Idyllwild shortly after 5:30 a.m.
While initially registered as a 3.4-magnitude quake, the USGS downgraded the shaking to a 2.9.
Although Idyllwild is located near the San Jacinto Fault Zone, there was no immediate word regarding damage or injuries.
