CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Tuesday afternoon, the Coronado Unified School District announced that they will be on a minimum day schedule Wednesday due to an ongoing heat advisory.
The announcement means that students will report to class at regular times, but be released from school at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Monday, schools within the district were closed due to the heat. Tuesday, Coronado schools were also on minimum day schedules.
The announcement comes as temperatures are expected to scorch the area for a third straight day.
