SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The streets of Clairemont Tuesday were lined with people honoring a Marine who recently died in a helicopter crash.
Gunnery Sgt. Derik Holley was laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery in a ceremony that included military honors and a flyover.
Following the funeral, family members and friends -- escorted by Marines -- made their way to Clairemont Mortuary for a private service.

Holley, 33, and three other Marines died on April 3 after the CH-53E helicopter they were in crashed near El Centro during training.
Holley joined the Marines in 2003 and was stationed at MCAS Miramar after several deployments for which he was highly decorated.
