SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego lifeguards are trying to fish out a vehicle driven into Mission Bay by a pair of men.
According to authorities, the men were on a boat ramp at Ski Beach before driving the car into the bay.
The two men had to swim ashore after the incident and escaped without injury. At this time, authorities say they’re unsure how exactly the incident unfolded, but are looking into the matter.

A dive team is planning to attach a cable to the bottom of the car before towing it out of the bay.
This is the second time in recent months a car has been driven into the water in San Diego County.
In August, a suspected drunk driver nearly hit several beach-goers before driving his car into the water at Imperial Beach.
After driving his car into the ocean, the suspect, later identified as Jorge Mosti, 50, reportedly got out and walked toward Tijuana before deputies caught up with and arrested him.
