SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--A man walking by a construction site on his way to San Diego Comic-Con downtown was struck by falling aluminum beams Friday morning.
The 29-year-old victim was with his friends around 10:18 a.m. at 11th Avenue near A Street when several aluminum beams from a construction site fell, collapsing a fence and hitting the man.

Witnesses said the man suffered a head injury and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
The man's condition is not known.
The company notified Cal/OSHA of the accident shortly after this story aired on 10News at 4 p.m.
