Joyce, 84, was wrapping up a big shopping day at a Smart and Final in North Park on Monday afternoon.
The clerk was just about finished checking her out when Joyce took out her debit card and set it down. She turned around briefly to talk to the bagger when someone screamed, "He stole her card!" It was Joyce's card.
