SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man was arrested Monday on suspicion of intentionally setting two fires outside of a City Heights building.
The fires were reported just after 9 a.m. next to a building in the 4100 block of 46th Street, according to San Diego police.
Police said an unidentified man set a trash can next to the building on fire, and then set a bag of clothes on fire.
Residents notified authorities and quickly doused the flames before firefighters arrived.
Meanwhile, the man was spotted by police a short distance from the scene and was pursued by officers.
Officers used a stun gun to subdue the man and took him into custody.
San Diego Fire-Rescue crews are investigating the fires.
No injuries were reported.
