MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (KGTV) - Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is about to end one of the longest ski seasons in its history.

The 2016-2017 ski and snowboard season will wrap up August 6, according to resort spokesman Tim LeRoy.

The season will run for 270 days: the second-longest season in Mammoth's history.  The longest season was 1994-1995.
