MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (KGTV) - Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort is about to end one of the longest ski seasons in its history.
The 2016-2017 ski and snowboard season will wrap up August 6, according to resort spokesman Tim LeRoy.
The season will run for 270 days: the second-longest season in Mammoth's history. The longest season was 1994-1995.

Mammoth had 618 inches of snow at the Main Lodge and more than 800 inches at the Summit, said LeRoy.
Mammoth's ski runs will reopen November 9. The resort's bike park will be open during the warmer months.
