LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A woman was arrested after deputies say she assaulted the vice principal of her son’s school in Lakeside Tuesday.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department says the incident started when Monique Martin tried to pick up her son from school.
When Martin was asked for identification, deputies say she became combative and physically assaulted the vice principal of Lakeside Middle School before returning home.
The department says Martin then drove to Santee, speeding past deputies on Town Center Parkway.
“Deputies stopped Martin and had to use force to take Martin into custody,” the department says.
During the arrest, two deputies sustained minor injuries. They were treated and released from a local hospital.
