SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Shoppers can no longer park for free at Westfield UTC in University City.
Starting Jan. 30, mall visitors will get the first two hours of parking at no charge, but it will cost $2 an hour after those two hours are up.
For example, a 3-4 hour visit to the mall will cost $4. Mall officials added, “The $15 daily maximum is reached for visits lasting longer than 9 hours.”
Anyone watching a movie at Arclight Cinemas, visiting 24-Hour Fitness or skating at the Ice Sports Center can get validation for additional hours.

UTC mall employees will have to pay for their own parking, however.
Shoppers who don’t wish to park at the mall can always take public transportation or get dropped off/picked up at the mall’s designated Uber drop-off area located next to the Room & Board store.
