Victim in deadly Grantville shooting identified

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police identified a man who was found shot to death in the Grantville area earlier this week.

San Diego police said 35-year-old Mario Bullard was suffering from at least one gunshot wound when officers found him lying on the street in the 6200 block of Holabird Street on May 21 at around 2:50 a.m.

Bullard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspected shooter is described as a white male of unknown age and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white log on the front, black pants, and was carrying a backpack.

According to police, he was last seen running westbound on Vandever Avenue towards Mission Gorge Road.
