(KGTV) -- Two people were taken to the hospital following an apartment fire in Otay Mesa Wednesday night, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The fire started on the 1180 block of 30th Street around 5:30 p.m.
Crews say two people were taken to the hospital. Two cats also died in the fire, according to the department.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
