SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) -- A fishing shop in Kearny Mesa was burglarized early Sunday morning. The break-in was caught on the San Diego Tackle Traders' surveillance cameras just before 4:30 a.m.
The video shows two suspects, wearing masks and gloves, getting into the shop using a crowbar. The two people can be seen walking into the business, on Convoy Court, with a cooler and some type of container, heading towards the back of the shop.
The owners of San Diego Tackle Traders say the suspects got away with several fishing reels and rods, a total value of $50,000 to $100,00.
The owners tell 10News this is a big blow to their small business. They say they work by appointment only and don't advertise their address online because of the value of the items they sell.
The owners are now hoping people will keep an eye out for anyone trying to sell brand new fishing equipment.
Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego Police Department.
