BONITA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Authorities have identified the suspect who allegedly shot and killed a woman in Bonita on July 4.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Giovanny Rodriguez, 20, was arrested for the murder of 19-year-old Janessa Delvalle.
The shooting happened on July 4 on the 5100 block of Cedarwood Road.
Investigators say a fight broke out between several women in the parking lot of an apartment complex prior to the shooting.
When deputies arrived, they say several people were seen performing CPR on Delvalle. She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
